Resell / Vendor Partners and Bulk Orders

Bulk Orders and Vendor/Resell Partners

I'm looking for partner vendors interested in high-quality processed wire products and/or cable assemblies.  I'm a viable option for relatively low-volume products where quality and consistency are necessary, but industry-specific manufacturing certifications are not required.

Examples of things I can do for consumer DIY items and kits:

  • 100 to 20000 pieces monthly: wire cut, stripped, crimped, and packaged
  • 10 - 100 monthly: cable assemblies with wire labels, multiple crimp and connector types, and sleeving
  • 20 - 500 monthly: simple cable assemblies or ten or more conductors using a single crimp type with or without cable sleeving
  • 50 - 2500 monthly: simple cables with less than ten conductors and no cable sleeving
  • 100 to 10000: pieces of printed heat-shrink
  • 10 - 500 monthly: pre-processed wiring kits

Examples of things I CANNOT make parts for:

  • Medical Devices
  • Space stuff
  • Military Stuff
  • Aircraft Stuff (except consumer-type drones/RC)
  • Anything where failure (of any type) means investigation and lawsuit

I am generally unable to do cable design.  Ideally, the vendor makes and tests a prototype cable assembly and provides either drawings or the prototype from which I can derive specifications.

Wire types:  I only use wire meeting industry specifications.  If you require use of a specific wire that doesn't meet a standard, I will consider it under certain circumstances and conditions.

Printed heat-shrink: I use only polyolefin heat shrink since it works well with my printers.

Pins and Connectors: I only use branded pins and connectors where a brand is specified.  That is, I will only use molex pins and connectors when a molex type connector is called for.  For things like ferrules, fork and ring connectors, I am open to using any brand with consistently high-quality products.  For these, I tend to use store-brands when available.

Cable Sleeve: I'm open to using whatever the customer specifies, though consistency and ease of assembly is important.  In most cases, high-quality sleeve that is easy to process will make a better product at the same cost as low-quality sleeve that is time-consuming to process.

Packaging: I can kit and bundle products as required, though I lack specialized packaging equipment to do so cheaply.  For small orders this isn't a big deal, but for say, 10000 individually bagged 'kits' of printed, cut, and bundled heat shrink pieces would likely have packaging costs close to or exceeding that of the items themselves.  Alternatively, the same result may be accomplished at lower cost with 10000 strips of printed heatshrink that the end-user will cut into pieces.
